Positive training like praising and giving rewards is very important when training a Labrador. Once your Labrador does anything you want him to learn, give him lots of praise and reward him with playtime or with a treat. Never resort to hitting you Labrador puppy. This will have a negative effect on your training; your puppy will become scared and confused. Positive training always works better than hitting and yelling at your puppy.
